PSWE-10 - Innovative therapies – what drugs will we see in 2030?

Meeting room 2.60
Organised by The FIP Board of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Chair(s)

Dr Rebecka Isaksson, FIP Scientific Secretary, United Kingdom

Introduction

The past decade has been packed with proposals of innovative new approaches to target and treat disease. We are now starting to see these innovations reach the later stages of clinical trials and some are already on the market impacting and improving patients’ lives. This session will start with an introduction focusing on the drugs we are just now seeing on the market, and the ones we will hopefully see in the near future. In the main talks of the session, we will focus on how we can use fools such as CAR-T cells and nucleic acid drugs, that modify and modulate the body’s own cells and immune response to exert their effect.
