Introduction

Against the backdrop of a growing demand for medical cannabis, the use of cannabis for medicinal purposes and its cultivation for research and other legal processes is regulated through the Medicines and Related Substances Act, 101 of 1965, and related regulations. This session discusses cannabis regulation for medical purposes in South Africa.
